As some of you may know or may not know, I have never posted on my very own blog.  We have a great team here that does all the hard work for me but today is different.

You all must know by now The King of Pop, The man who changed music and probably the most musically inspirational man on this planet – Michael Jackson has left us.   What does this mean to me?  Let me tell you.  Do you know when I was 10  years old, My grandmother(who is no longer with us-RIP) bought my mother and I tickets for his concert at the Irvine Meadows(now Verizon) for his BAD TOUR for my birthday.  It was suppose to be a surprise so I didn’t know. The funny thing was that my Grandma forgot the date of the concert and told me 2 hours before the concert was going to start.  I remember getting home from school and my Grandma calling me all frantic and I thought someone just had died.  She tells me “Honey, You are going to see Michael Jackson tonight, Happy Birthday”. So my mom got home from work and off we went.  It was like nothing, I could have imagined.  FUCK Disneyland, this was the happiest place on earth.  I didn’t know what to expect but let me tell you, it was hands down the greatest show I have ever experienced.  The most memorable moment was when he did Thriller and came out dressed like a werewolf.  I almost peed my pants, I was so excited.  My mom tells me to this day, she has never seen me with such a huge smile on my face or being so happy.

My point of all of this is to show you what an impact this individual had on me and everyone one else in this world.  Yea, maybe it would of been great if he stopped making albums at “BAD” cause we all know “Off The Wall” & “Thriller” were the 3 greatest albums of all time. Regardless of all the gossip, things that have happened in the past years and other things, he was a human being that changed the lives of trillions of people just with his music.  There is not one artist and countless songs that can be played at a club that can get the dance floor from 0-300 people in seconds.  The joke amongst my DJ friends is “When all else fails, play MJ”.

There isn’t much else to say other than, Thank You Nana(my grandma) for letting me experience what many will never have the chance to.  MJ you will be greatly missed and always remembered and we love you.  RIP MJ.  Oh btw his middle name is Joseph and he is Virgo…Just sayin!!

I will end this with my favorite of all time.

That was such a sweet story. MJ will be missed, but his music will live forever!
